GIVING THANKS

Thanks to two exceptional former Everett High School Graduates and Athletes, The “E” Club of Everett was able to increase our named scholarships by two names last year. To achieve this status a donation of $15,000 is made to the club so that a scholarship grant may be given to a Student Athlete at Everett High School.

ERIK COSTIN: He was a graduate from Everett High School in 1998, playing three years of varsity basketball. Although he had a very difficult family life, in his senior year, he led the GBL in scoring as well as winning numerous awards and had the honor of playing in two state all star games. On graduating he received the Putnam Award and George Kelly Scholarship. Erik went on to play four years at Lasell College and become a 1,000 Point scorer. He has several conference and NCAA accolades. Erik operates a general contractors/construction managers company with 30+ employees, W&J Construction Corporation in Florida. He lives with his wife Dawn and two children Tyler and Luke.

DANIEL (DAN) ROSS: He was a graduate from Everett High School in 1975, who excelled in three sports: Football, Tennis, and Hockey. In addition to his involvement in sports, Dan felt being elected president of his class senior year was his biggest accolade. Dan went on to play college football at Northwestern, but hockey was his first choice. Between 1975 and 1979, Dan broke every record at Northeastern under the coaching of Bo Lyons as outstanding player and the Harry Agganis Outstanding Senior Award. After Dan’s final game, they retired Dan’s number 84. He was inducted into the College Hall of Fame. Dan was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals as the 31st pick in the country. Again, breaking many NFL records including the record for tight ends with eleven receptions in the Super Bowl. In 2017, the Bengals voted Dan the twenty-second all time favorite in the team’s 50-year-history. Dan passed away suddenly on May 16th, 2006 leaving his lovely wife Joan, daughter Jillian, and son, Dan Ross Jr.
